    OT: Camping near Nederland?

Anyplace open to camp near Nederland? I don't suppose the rainbow lakes? / weather observation place is open? (CR116?) I have a 4wd if that helps.

Will I need to bring a snow shovel? How cold @ night?

    Thanks,
    Chris

The west magnolia area, a couple miles south of Ned just off 119 should be open for camping, no shovel needed.

As everyone said, West Magnolia has several spots.. There's also a large USFS area almost exactly 5 miles north off peak-to-peak hwy with lots of space/privacy. No shovels needed now, but these are all undeveloped spots so you'll need to haul everything in/out. Low's are supposed to be in the upper 30's the rest of the week.
