Cool-blue Rhythm OT: any EDM producers here?

I just started using Ableton to produce some stuff, but I have no idea what I'm doing. There are plenty of tutorials, but I lose interest. I'd be willing to trade parts for lessons!

If I had stupid money, I would buy a carbon demo, and sign up for Dubspot. I was a DJ for many years, and would love to get into production.

Jason- Same here. DJ since '97, and decided to set up a little studio since I broke my ankle. It's amazing how much you can get for free (like Reaper). I decided to get Ableton Intro for $100, and a MIDI controller/keyboard for another $100. I've been watching a lot of Dubspot tutorials.

Give a holler if you want to spin sometime!

I've got an Akai MPK49 if anyone wants to buy one! I was into it for such a short time, and barely used the thing!

But yeah...no lessons from me. It took way more time than I had, as I tried to make "real" music from electronic sound bites with guitar and bass overlayed. It was extremely difficult, and I lost interest.

We can have an old DJ party!

I wanted to spin at a race or something, and I know I could do a better job than most of those pre-recorded guys
