    Organ Donors.....

The last couple weeks I have observed a surprising number of people riding without helmets (about 5, mostly at Hall). I think this is more then I have seen in the last few years combined. Why do you suppose this is? I know I have left my share of blood/skin/cracked ribs on that trail. Many of them seem to be fairly competent riders so i'm curious. Is it:

    1. Noob ignorance. Have yet to fall for the first time?
    2. Blood is the new black?
    3. They were all Chuck Norris?
    4. Hair gel has gotten too expensive in these hard economic times?

Just curious if this is a new 'trend'.

    Funny you should say that

We were riding Palmer Park on Wednesday and noticed 2-3 riders w/o helmets, one looked like he was on a Demo Kona which would have been that much more intelligent

I place my vote on ignorance and the fact they have yet to see someone take a serious fall. What the heck, we need healthy organ donars

    Dam,
    Bikes are FUN

    I want to ride a Donar ...

I used to ride to Win ... Now I ride to Grin

While my guitar gently weeps, my bike sits there mocking me

Still fail. If spoken w/ Aussie accent, it the word would end in an "a", phonetically anyway.

I was assuming the 'r' would be silent. To correctly write it i imagine Donna' would be closest.

That's the slickest one I've seen yet.
Great design, bet it's almost like a new
    Caddy to ride inside.

I was riding Lair O the Bear a couple weeks ago on a Saturday and noticed 3 riders without helmets. I thought it was really strange. Maybe with all the pot these days some people are getting forgetful.

For some reason, most of the helmet-less riders I've ever seen have been at Palmer Park. I don't understand it.

I just got back from Moab and it seems about 1/3 of the people out there werent wearing a helmet. My personal favorite is when you see someone riding and they have it clipped to their camelbak, safety first for the water I guess.

That is equivalent to those guys that ride motorcycles with the expensive armored jackets.....and no helmet. I guess that is so they can identify the torso after the head has been turned into hamburger. Again, hair gel must be really expensive.
