Open Doudy Draw Trail To Bikes TOMORROW

We will be armoring up sections of the Doudy Draw Trail to make them suitable for bikes. If we get it all done, the trail will be open to bikes at 4:30 pm October 20, immediately after the event.

Lunch will be provided by OSMP, and a hot meal will be provided by Oskar Blues after the work is done. The event is scheduled between 8am and 4pm, and there will be slots open for people who can only work half a day. To register: http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/ap?AP=322821605

NOTE: this is an all day event.... or as long as it takes to get the trail done and ready to open. Come for just the morning or come for the afternoon.

This is the first REAL milestone that marks the end of the 25 year ban on bikes west of Highway 93/Broadway. OSMP will have 10-12 miles of new trail in this area by mid summer 2008.... all open to bikes.

Yes, the Community Ditch Trail has been open to bikes... but that's a freakin' road.

.And following our will and wind . . .
. . .We'll ride the spiral to the end

We are actively working it. Three agencies, private property, real tough terrain.... but it's looking good so far.

Kudos on all the hard work that led to this success so far!

Is drop-in, unregistered help allowed for less than a half day (without lunch)?

They are shuttling the volunteers in to the site.... more than a mile... that would be the challenge.

I would suggest registering and in the comments section tell them what you are going to do and let then react to it.

    C'mon down!
