so decided to get out to do some dj's last night. It was about the last time I could ride before my wedding with all of the family and friends rolling into town. Went to Arbor and was having a blast hitting some of the bigger lines, and feeling really comfortable. Untill... had to get one line again that I was having trouble with. Made it to the last one and somehow washed out the front tire on the landing and took all of the fall to my right shoulder and face. Found out today that I broke my collar bone, cut my face right by my eye, and broke my foot:thumbsup: The foot isn't too bad and is a smallish bone chip floating around in a mass of black and blue goo. The collar bone is pretty bad, but the doc semed to think that it would heal up pretty quickly. Long story short - oops. Hope that I'll be ready by keystone... but time will tell:madmax:

Damn, Dave! I don't know what I'm more sorry about, the fact that you crashed and got hurt or the fact that you're getting married and I didn't get an invitation!

Heal fast! :)

Do yourself a favor and make sure you are seeing the right doc. Mine did nothing to my cbone break for a 6 months and then told me I "might" have a long term problem. Went to see a real specialist a year after the incident and found I that I do in fact need surgery. I could have already been done with this if the original doc knew what he was doing.

That is good advice... Who did you see a family care doctor?

It would be a good idea to have an orthopedic surgeon look at your x-rays you might need surgery. I know of a couple good ones if you want to drive to Denver :p.

The same thing that happened to FrontRanger happened to me but it was my knee, I had torn my ACL and did meniscus damage, went to my family care doc they took a quick look at it and said you strained it and to take it easy for a while and you'll be fine.

Well several months later, it was not getting any better I went back to my doc and insisted on seeing a specialist, when I went to the orthopedic he was like why in the hell did you wait soo long to get in here! Uh, well! Had surgery and was then on the fast track to healing up.

Hopefully you really don't need surgery but a second opinion is never a bad thing.

thanks for the advice fellas. I'm pretty sure that there isn't any need for surgery. When I looked at the x-rays, it was actually hard for me to see the break. Once I knew where it was then it was easy to see. I do have a follow up with a specialist in a week or so... so we will see.
