Haven't been up there.. but historically that area is clear to about 10,000ft by now. Flowers road should be ready to rock. I'd be up for an exploratory ride up Back to the Future to Old Flowers and back on Monument Gulch next week if you're interested...

where/what is "back to the future"? I am planning on a little over night trip up there this weekend and would love to know if there is an alternative to the grind up Rist Canyon.

The maps were from National Geographic Trail Illustrated. The maps we used for reference before and during the ride were numbers 101 and 112. You can get them at REI.

You can also get those maps at Jax Outdoor Gear. Shop local.
