I'm Stefan, and I have a drinking problem.

The beer here (Boulder) is just too damn good. My Puritan minister has disavowed knowledge of my existence.

That said, I ride on the Front Range all the time, volounteer (BikePatrol) for BOA, own an Old English Sheepdog that's not too smart (yes--I am from Boulder, and I do own my dog), and haven't ridden a bike with gears since August. I'll ride with anyone, pretty much any time, at least once.

Dave here. I call Lyons home, but work, unfortunately, in Broomfield.

Anyone heading up to Hall Ranch or anywhere nearby are certainly welcome to give me a headsup if you're looking for a riding partner or post ride beers!

    My name's really Ichabod

But my friends, family, co-workers, wife, son, and anyone reading my driver's license call me Dominic.

I live in Evergreen, I just noticed this board, I work in downtown Denver, I like epic rides with slim chance of survival, and I like to ride without gears whenever I feel I can get away with it.

I also suffer from a tendency to go with convenient ride destinations sometimes, and as such am trying to ride Elk Meadow more than anyone in history.

    Yo!

Scott. I go by my middle name. Don't know why. DSR are my initials. Creative.

Live in Boulder. Full house - wife, three kids, dog, fish, had a rat in the basement but we eventually managed to kill it. (Yes, live in Boulder and KILLED it!)

Work in Broomfield, although seriously considering leaving my cube slave world and taking a shot at my own biz.

Ride a good bit. Mostly mountain. Road when the trails are messy. Night ride fairly often. Have recently gotten into SS-ing.

That's probably enough info. If you know my boss, don't mention the above part about work. Hope to meet more of you in person. I'm either on a black Surly 1x1 or a grey Ventana El Salt. Take care. S

Yet another Dave. Heh. Sorry Kirk. Deal.

Ahem. Live and work in Longmont. Ride Hall alot, just 'cause it's so damn close. Ridden with some of you , and hope to do more of that. As well as meet and ride with more of you.

An absurdly bright green geared hardtail, and a Bronco's color themed SS; though that came about entirely unintentionally.

Some on the road, geared, but now more and more fixed! Love it!

    Yo.

My name is Brett and I live in Fort Collins. I like long epic rides and I ride an IF 29"er.

Give me a shout if anyone wants to ride up here. It might be a bit up north - but remember we have the best riding, beer and burritos on the front range.

Larry checking in here. Living in Fort Collins also, and own a bike shop in Loveland just down the road from Devil's Backbone. The riding is great, the fridge is always stocked with beer, stop by and say hi.

Patrick - live in the Ranch. Love to ride my mtb but bought a road bike when my little tax deduction was born in May. I ride mostly in Jeffco but know the Winter Park trails pretty well. I volunteer as a trail marshall at the Fat Tire Classic every year. (Great gig if you're interested)

I haven't been back to ride since probably '94 but hope to make it this year. It would be nice if we could get a gathering together, especially on short notice.

Me, circa mid 80's, back when they called it the Tipperary Creek race. The start is practically in my folks backyard.

Tom from "if it will save the seals then let's raise taxes!" Boulder here. Hard-core wannabe, but waiting for warmer weather - that should tell you something. Unemployed so lots of time to ride.

When are we gonna turn this "official roll call" into the roll call for a group ride?

    Hi Bill:

I know this thread started a while ago, but I thought I'd reply any way.

My name is Lee Duncan (the Lee-Man), and I live in the Berthoud Area.

I'm the new director of the Bike Patrol for BOA (in Boulder). I'm a registered National
Mountain Bike Patrol patroller and instructor. I'm a member of IMBA and Bicycle
    Colorado, and I'm a back-of-the-pack NORBA sport-class racer, though I prefer
endourance events, particularly the Leadville Trail 100 each August. I've been
mountain biking about 8 years (I used to race Motocross), though I also own
a road bike for training and commuting.

    Bykhed aka Magic Matt

This is an old thread, but anyway....

I'm Matt, used to post a lot here as Magic Matt, then things got busy at work. 39 y/o, work at CU in the People's Republic of Boulder, live with my non-biker SO and dog in Westminster.

Been riding since '86, moved to CO from NYC area five years ago and never looked back. Current rides are circa 1989 Kona Hei Hei w/a Manitou Black and BRAND SPANKIN' NEW Giant AC2 that hasn't even touched dirt yet (and, yes, I've already upgraded it).

I'm an active member of Rocky Mtn Bicycle Boys: a gay men's mtn bike club that, believe it or not, has quite a few hard-core riders - including a 2003 Winter Park series champion and a 70 year-old who still kicks my ass on the uphills.

Attached pic is from Mt. Thomas ride with the RMBB - 9 hours/33 miles/5,000' uphill death march in 2002. I'm still sore...

    Always the last to know!

Name's Don "Anvil" Ferris. Live just behind Chatfield Reservoir (south Denver) on the Canal. Can ride singletrack from the house to Waterton/Colorado Trail; Deer Creek takes a little road ride to get there. Ride all over the Front Range, MTB & road.

Favorite Front Range short ride: Deer Creek.

Favorite FR long ride: Waterton to Indian Creek Campground and return via the Powerline Trail. Waterton is way underrated. You just have to get past the Barney carts along the river.

BTW, each year at the end of summer/early fall we informally organize a band of misfits for an epic "Death March" ride that usually includes Monarch Crest/Rainbow Trail. This ia just for kicks ride, i.e., just show up, no fees. The first year we rode from our place to the top of Mt. Evans & back (167 miles) on the road and then the next day did Monarch Crest. That hurt and folks who came in from the east or west coast were dying. Last year we cut the road portion, just did Monarch and a couple of days at Crested Butte. This year we're thinking about organizing at Monarch/Rainbow again and maybe adding in the Lost Burro Trail in Moab if we can get some more info on it and I get a chance to recon it prior. If any of you locals are interested, send me a PM.

    See you on the trails!

new in more ways than one

Just moved to Colorado. I've been living in an apartment for 3 months while I looked for a house. My family's still in Georgia, waiting for me to find them a home.
I'm pretty new to mountain biking, but I really love it.

I work in Louisville and have been looking at houses in Longmont, Erie, and western Weld county.

I've got a place for you....

3 BR/1 Bath. 1/3 of an acre. Right in East Boulder/Lafayette! And a steal.. at only $245,000. Ouch. Boulder is ridiculous!

Seriously, it's for sale. And we are getting to the point of being able to negotiate about the price.

Have rode Waterton-Roxborough Loop and Deer Creek Canyon so far. Gonna try Apex again tomorrow, got hailed on last week. Also got to do some DH at Keystone last weekend. It pretty much made Big Bear in So Cal look like kiddie play.

I'm Ed, I work in the south DTC, live in Tamarac area of Denver. I dabble with photography and videography so if anyone wants to help me make some Front Range mountain biking video, let me know.

I mainly ride Jeffco from Deer Creek to White Ranch, and Evergreen rides on weekends when it's too hot everywhere else and if I have time.

I ride nearly every Tuesday/Thursday morning before work during the summer. We usually meet at the trailhead at 6:AM...yes I said 6:00am. You gotta admit, it's the best time to ride in the middle of the summer when it's 95 degrees from noon to 5:PM. There's also no traffic on the roads or the trails.

    Anyone convinced?

So, nice to meet you all and I hope to see you on the trail or behind a beer.

    Ed
