    Dang.

I am conflicted by my appreciation of Specialized and Manitou products united as one.

I thought about doing the same thing with a transition bandit 29, then realized I was too poor. Nice looking rig!

It's actually not ready to ride. The 1-1/8 tube on the Dorado is sitting loose in the 1-1/2 steer tube, the rotor mount is for an 8" but the wheel has a 6" and the axle is a 15mm hub on a 20mm fork that is being held on with a 12mm rear.

I just wanted to see what this franken bike would look like. More feasible than I expected actually.

I've seen that before and there is this:

But my creation is a 5" trail bike with a DH fork! Intense is right about the tires though, not exactly a lot of options.

Speaking of "full trucker", I bet that thing handles like a dump truck. Well a dump truck with spare tires mounted. Get some Hans Dampf 29er tires and then it will be more like trophy truck!

So, what happens when you fully compress the fork and the tire locks up on the crown?

The travel can be changed from 200mm to 180mm to prevent that.

So, how is this going to prevent the flats you always get?

In 5 years I've had 1 flat during a race, usually it's the crashes that get me. Last year was a first for me when I had a photographer inside the tape standing in my way.

Reminds me of when The Crusher raced a Yeti 4X with a Dorado up front for the Steamboat race back in the day. Except this could even be pedaled up a hill. So yeah... get a zero-stack reducing headset, a hub conversion kit if it's available, and put the 8" rotor on that bad larry and you'll be all set.

    Do eeeet.
The older I get, the faster I was.

    Punch it, Chewie.

I have a conversion kit for the hub and extra rotors. I'd have to pull the fork apart to change the travel. The only thing I don't have is the headset reducer.
