    new years day ride?

I'll be oncall for the office, but I think I'll try to sneak one in. Probably green mtn. or Dakota ridge/MW. Been outta town (and still am) so no idea on trail conditions, but I bet those two will be rideable on NYD2005.

I'd be down for that if I don't wake up hungover in Winter Park that morning.

So all you irresponsible POS's have something to aim for, we'll plan the ride time at noon, Green Mtn/C740 big parking lot. We'll climb up Zorro and ride the ridge from there. Noon start time should let most of you be partially recovered from your hangovers to ride.

    have fun

We were up there yesterday and conditions were great. Zorry was a little soft in a couple spots and the red rocks side had a soft section, but the rest was fantastic.

Happy New Year everyone! Have a good ride.

I doubt it. The group rides I've done with these guys are usually chill. I'm gonna take it easy. I haven't pedaled in a few weeks and I have harder gearing.

I got up this morning, saw how nice out it was and decided to go at the last minute. I got the the parking lot at 12:05 and didn't see anyone that I recognized so I figured you guys had already left.

I asked various bikers on the trail if they had seen a group of riders and they then asked me what parking lot they were leaving from. It was at that point I realized there were more than one parking lots. I was on the South side (off Alameda) and I guess you guys met up over by the dirt bike track.

Oh well, wanted to make the group ride but still got in a good ride by myself. I managed to climb for 2.5 miles without passing out and/or having to stop, so maybe I'm starting to get used to the altitude and climbing finally.

we had a huge group...13 people...sorry you missed it. Some other time...post pics soon from it. FWIW, we didn't ride green mtn. at all. We rode Dakota ridge and Matthew Winters.

That makes it worse....I would have rather ridden Dakota Ridge as it appears to be much more technical than Green Mountain, but oh well. Next time I need to commit sooner and hook up with someone who knows the trail system.

All the pics look great, sounds like a great ride.

    Yep, on all counts.
Take the long cut, we'll get there eventually.
