    Murky moose

So last week when it was really smoky I wanted to go for a ride. Wanting to minimize the number of smoke particles I inhaled I got high - if that makes any sense.

I made my contribution to the trail - I placed a stone where a tree root system pulled out of the trail.

Even at 10600 feet it was smoky.

The shot of the rock. Whoever laid this on SSV - I love it It makes my geologist heart soar. Nothing like open space filling - nice euhedral crystals.

Oh yea the moose. It was dusk and I was riding down the road near Red Rock Lake - below Brainard when I came upon a very large moose blocking the road. He was huge! I jammed on the brakes and fumbled for my camera but before I could get a shot he moved out. There was a cow and two calfs along the road and they disappeared quickly as well. Did I say the guy was huge? I'm glad I didn't hit him.

    Last shot is great!

What's up with the moose lately? We had one in Monument last month...

Thanks guys. I need to post more pics. I seem to have gotten my workflow down.
