The Mukluk of Wampa Treads at Treeline
I finally finished my Fat Bike, The Mukluk of Wampa. It's 1st voyage was dry dirt during the local Tits ride. It was an awesome experience but this bike was built with snow in mind and snow it had.

I talked my buddy Torkima into riding Georgetown. I had no idea what the snow conditions were but I was hoping for something on the ground that was rideable.

We found what we were looking for and more...

Same idea as in the summer. It ain't Fat Biking without a little hike a biking

At 11,200 we started to run into some really loose sugar snow. We were both getting whooped and kept going to 11,400 before time finally got us and we had to head down.

Once you ride a fat chick, riding a skinny one is never as good.

What does it mean to get "whooped"? Is that good or bad?

That was going to be my quick goto ride. Sorry to have missed it but thanks for the invite and photos. There seems to be some traffic going up the road in the winter so the snow gets packed down. Definitely looks worth checking out sometime.

I had to work Friday night and Saturday morning so got out to 3sis Friday morning.

You have been needing one of these for a while (the fatbike)... :) Hopefully the Ned trails get packed more than the spot in the photo is.
