    Mtn Lion rideable?

Hoping to ride mtn lion in golden gate this weekend. Anyone have any beta on conditions? Is it rideable? Thanks!

They are generally pretty crotchety. You might be able to convince one to let you ride if you give it some treats and a nice ear rub. I heard bears are easier to ride though.

The big horn will give you a good ride I would guess.

I was up there September 28th and they had a large portion of the loop closed. There was a sign and a ribbon across the trail where Mountain Lion and the Burro trail intersect out near windy peak.
You may want to call and see if they got the trail opened up.

Mountain Lion was still partially closed yesterday (October 6th). They had a sign up at the Windy Peak intersection that closed the trail down to the Deer Creek area. Not sure what trails were closed/open down by Deer Creek as I didn't venture that way during my loop.

Went up and did the snowshoe hair loop, and then went up to the top of mtn lion. We made it down to the intersection at Windy peak, then turned around. Still a great ride, but I was really hoping to get some Deer Creek in.
