MTB Hall of Fame moving...
to Marin. Makes me laugh actually. Article is in the Post.
"Come visit the Hall of Fame and ride our 7 miles of semi-legal trail."
Gone are the days we stopped to decide,
Where we should go,
We just ride...

Been going to CB since the early 80's. Never been to the MBHOF. Ah, well. Life goes on.

hmmm
Does this mean that Colorado has given up the fight as the home of mtn biking?
When I started going to CO in 91, that building was still a gas station, with pumps practically up on the sidewalk.
The collection of early bikes was pretty cool.

Here is the link from the August 14th Crested Butte News on the subject.
Funny thing about the MBHOF as one legend would always say about the founders "they created a hall of fame then inducted themselves", always cracked me up.
Also funny what the NoCal peeps are saying about the move too.

IMO a state claiming to be the "home" of mt biking is silly. This goes for CO *AND* CA.

Heading up to CB in 2 weeks. What did you ride and how was it (assuming you didn't spend the entire weekend in a museum)?
Since this will be the GF first mountain biking trip there, planning on the obligatory 401 day. Will have time for at least one more good 3-5 hr ride - suggestions?
Ok, here's the deal. I have a hangover. Who knows what that means?

Glad I finally stopped in the museum this year.

Agreed, it is silly, but not everyone that I have encountered felt that way.

Sorry that CB is losing the MBHOF, but glad to see it coming to my neighborhood.

I always wondered why Paul Turner is not in there. I think maybe he had something to do with putting suspension on mountain bikes.
