JUNIOR MOUNTAIN BIKE CAMP FILLS VOID
Dillon, CO- Basketball has camps, baseball has camps, soccer has camps. Well, now junior mountain bikers can take their skills to a unique summer camp in the heart of the Colorado Rockies.
Brett Morgan, director of Summit Junior Cycling, is expanding his operation to include six week-long sessions designed to bring kids of varying skills from all over the country to hone their skill on the dirt, improve fitness and learn the crucial importance of fueling their bodies.
For five years Morgan and local pros have worked to develop Summit County’s most talented and driven youth to the upper echelons of their local series with some experiencing success on a national level. Now mountain biking juniors from beginner to seasoned racers throughout the country will have the opportunity to benefit from Morgan’s racing experience and coaching expertise to develop their own skills and nurture early glimpses of talent.
Athletes will be based out of a very comfortable and well appointed home in Keystone, Colorado with each participant being challenged daily at Keystone Mountain in their chosen discipline. During the afternoon, athletes will learn to clean and maintain their equipment in addition to receiving training tips from professional coaches. They will also learn about the importance of healthy eating and the benefits of quality rest and relaxation.
Tuition for the weeklong opportunity will be $1550, and includes lodging, all meals and 5 day lift access for DH riders and 2 day lift access for XC riders. Each session will be limited to 10 athletes so as to ensure a quality experience and favorable ratio of coaches to athletes.
