in Poncha Springs. 800-871-5145. You can check out their web site at www.monarchcrest.com but I would call to reserve a spot (shouldn't be a problem on Monday) and to confirm pricing. Last year they increased their prices without changing them on the web site and we had a pissing contest with the owner. Have fun.
4 years ago I took the shuttle in May (crossed alot of snowfields) & I was the only one they drove up for $14.
Maybe they have changed, but at this time of year there is probably other people going up on any given day, so you could definitely be alone and pay your fee only
Last September I was up there on a Friday and they would only do it if I paid for two spots. The lady on the phone that I talked to didn't mention this when I reserved my spot, the guy told me it when I got there. It might just depend on who you deal with when you get there.
BTW, be leary of making reservations over the phone there, I did and had to give my credit card number. When I arrived they said they had written it down on a piece of paper and lost it! 8 Months later my credit card was cloned and several fraudulent charges put on it, but I think that was a coincidence.
The weekend shuttles tend to be really full though.
They will ask you to pay for two people if you go alone. You can ask them to call you the day before and let you know if they have anyone else signed up for your day.
