    Monarch Crest - June 25?

Can anyone provide information about whether the Monarch Crest Trail is open yet?

Call ABsolute Bikes in Salida they will give you the trail status. I would imagine it is still under snow.

I'm sure they're getting tired of answering that question. The high country is still under many feet of snow.

If only there was a place, maybe a website and perhaps their own, where they could post updated conditions reports so they wouldn't have to answer the phone call of a potential customer.

The West side the the pass got Hammered with snow, late and heavy.

We do not have the man power to go up there every week and posthole, though any of us that is going that direction will always take pictures and give a report.

On the positive side, everything below Marshal Pass/Crest top out is rideable!

I think you can probably trust those guys to know conditions even if the last physical check was a while ago. It is certainly to their advantage to update that page the minute it becomes rideable.

Hahahaha, Front Rangers I realize you live in a relative desert but you must have caught some weather reports this winter/spring.
    Keep the Country country.
