    Andy,
I'll likely be there that weekend doing support for a friend who will be racing the Adventure Xtream adventure race. Between transitions, his 11 year old son and I may try to get in a ride or two.

Maybe I'll get one between now and then and practice in the parking lot after rides. Won't be riding what they do though - can guaranteee that!

Mike, let me know when you know for sure - I got your "digits"! Would love to ride with you and the kid!

I saw a bunch of those guys last year coming down the jeep road (as we were riding up) at Amasa Back. Pretty amazing (and humbling) to watch them ride over the techy stuff.

    Sure is amazing stuff.

Just sux when a 100 or so of them are riding down the same trail as you are. At least that has been my experience.

Maybe a week in Telluride/Moab before then if the weather is looking good.

Pssshhh... Moab was so last week[end].

A trail thatís too difficult wouldnít exist because itíd never be used. But, trails can exist thatíre too difficult for you.

    Andy,
Just found out today that my kids have a competition on Saturday 3/28 here in town, so I won't be in Moab that weekend after all. Have fun and ride some for me.

Glad I have good insurance - could be u-g-l-y, and I'm talking just sitting on the thing in the garage! Any pointers for getting started?
I will have to look you guys up - the kids would love to see it!

    Ha.

    Tips:
Put all your weight on the seat.
Some people use ski poles to help.
practice practice...most folks get it down within 8-15 hours of practice.
Bring the Muni with if you can. Lots of events at night that weekend, lessons are free!
    Good luck.

    Nickle:

Is your first pic that nasty thing near the top of Amasa Back, at the corner of a switchback? I was scoping that out last time I was out there, and geez that picture doesn't do justice to how scary that thing is.

Looks like fun, Andy. Gotta get my family out there. I don't have the testicular fortitude to ride Body Bag, and, like you, have trouble walking it. The vids I have seen of riders on it are impressive. Thanks for the post.

    Sat:
Fun morning at the Hot Springs - no that's not me on the right walking toward the pool.

MUNI trials at Lions Park - he's not falling - he's jumping from the pipe to the ground.

    'nuff said.

    Sun:
Windier than he!!ck. No riding. Sightseeing on and off the beaten path.
Anybody recognize/know the story with this place?

    Windows

    Mon:
Solo Sovereign and some of the other newer stuff out there - total other riders seen = 0:

Meet and greet with PBR and fam. at Peace Tree, then family out and back to the overlook at Porcupine - total other riders seen <10.

    Tue:
    Solo LPS/Porc - total other riders seen = 1:
Anyone here attempted or ridden the notch/body bag, whatever it's called? Crazy bastages. It's hard enough to walk down.

The family can't wait to go back, and neither can I of course, probably Fruita next time.

Agreed on the impressive part, but I am still at a loss as to why anyone would really even WANT to attempt it - what with the likely maim-edness resulting from any kind of crash. Granted, I've never been much of a dare-devil/risk taker!
How did you get your post in there 5 minutes before my pix? Love it when that happens.
