    Mini-Crew Happy Hour

Come join in the trail work this Thursday, August 23 at 6pm.

We'll be meeting at the lower parking lot of White Ranch.

Bring your mtb bike as we will have use of a 'BOB' to transport tools to the worksite of the Belcher Hill trail where it crosses at the bridge over Van Bibber Creek.

Any questions, fire away to yellogirl@earthlink.net

    To pre-register, contact Jana Johns, (303) 271-5922 OSvol@co.jefferson.co.us

Join fellow mtbers being proactive to improve trail conditions on the front range.
Hope to see you out there!

The last day mini-crew day for the season is Thurs., Sept. 20.

A cooler evening tonight to work on the trail.
Don't forget your rain gear, 60% chance of no rain.
If you pack it you won't need it.
    See ya there, 6pm.

    Thanks

    rain... it didn't really

There was not much of a problem with rain... but the darkness of night came early due to the cloud cover.

Thanks all for joining in. Also 'thanks' to all the riders who cruised by encouraging our work.

Last night, we cleared the route from the second gate to Van Bibber creek. It made for a better line to ride both ramps, plus we opened the alternative equestrian route through the creek. After taking a close look at the route through the creek... that looks like a technical challenge to see if the wheels can bust through there.

We don't need no stinkin' bridge.

Saw you guys workin' hard last night. Thanks for helping out the best park in JeffCo. Felt a little guilty about riding through w/out pitching in to help (in the mud no less). Nice talking to you in the parking lot post ride (I'm guessing that was you on the rigid 29er who beat our sorry asses up the bottom of Belcher... I don't remember seeing another woman in the trail crew.).

    c'mon, my bike rocks!

Yeah... that was me, on the pink Dragonfly. But it's the bike! Less is more... no suspension, no weight, no loss of my stoke. Walt Works is responsible for the speed demon.

Hey, yeah, I enjoyed meeting you guys too. Hopefully we can get out for a ride. I especially appreciated the BBQ with the propane tank. That's doing the afterwork ride thing right!

The next mini-crew day is Sept. 20... on a Thurs. again. It's the last of the season. There's a tentative notion we'll be able to work again on the Enchanted Forest at Apex.

So stop feeling guilty and the pressure... come join us!

Yeah, I didn't buy her "it's the bike not me" bit. Her bike is really nice but I pass a lot of really nice bikes on Belcher Hill.

    but if...

...your bike was painted with tinkerbell sparkles and you wore a skort, you'd claim it was the bike too.

The respect and admiration is mutual. You guys showed up dressed in corporate-guy-blue and stepped out of the phone booth in cool-guy-drag. Put in a respectable and well-executed climb. Then, as I mentioned, the beers and BBQ was over the top. I think you all have figured out a piece of the sweet life.

I DO hope I catch a parking lot BBQ sometime.
