Midnight Borealis ride at ridge line tonight?? 1/9/14

While the sun is exploding we might as well take advantage of it. 11:30pm Coachline lot, Ridgeline. Be there or sleeping, your choice.

"Weather forecaster Joe Kunches says the aurora borealis is likely to be seen around midnight Thursday into Friday in Colorado."

Spent about an hour sitting 20 miles north of Fort Collins and didn't see anything other than a cool moonset behind the front range and about a dozen cars parked along the road watching for Northern Lights.

Midnight Borealis ride at ridge line tonight?? 1/9/14

According to the Daily Camera the aurora was not visible from anywhere in the US.

It was pretty good if you were in Norway.

Does anyone know if there is still enough snow on Ridgeline to not be muddy?

Cool...hopefully that have a report soon! I want to ride it today but really don't feel like a mud ride. Snow and ice is just fine though!

Rode it Saturday and it was nice. Going to hit it tonight with the little dude. He's itching to get his new bike on dirt. The SE section of it is pretty much snice (snow/ice) with the middle mostly dry dirt and the NW section dirt, snirt, and snow on the far NE climb.
