Meadow Mountain and Son of Middle Creek

Today was full of Rain, Snow, and Graupel( right shittles ) and it was ridiculously awesome!!

I asked work for two hours off today so I could watch the kiddos this evening. Instead of two hours off, all I had to work was two hours so.....I had to head west right?

Weather.com called for partly cloudy skies this am and the original plan was to do a quick Kenosha>Georgia>Jefferson Loop.

Then I thought about Meadow Mtn in Vail and how I've been wanting to ride it for the past two years and always wait to long or get sidetracked. Next thing I knew I was on I-70 heading West.

Weather.com and its radar are BS liars. I got to Silverthorne and it was raining hard, further up a little graupel and finally pulling into the Meadow Mtn parking lot, it was a light rain. Pfft...whatever...I'm riding

after finishing Meadow Mtn I had just enough time to go hit Son Of Middle Creek. The trail was slick as snot and even though it wasn't my fastest run down SOMC...it was fantastic with conditions varying from rain to a light snow n graupel.

Try the Weather Underground for better information on weather conditions.

Crap weather is the best time to ride. No one else is out on the trails.
