Well... yesterday was just splendorous. Work was ohhh so special, kids were worn out from the weekend and fighting, wife couldn't be any more "special." About 5 I took my bike out back with all my tools and stand and zoned. Washed all the gunk off, put new valve stems in the rims, re Stans the tires. I also adjusted the air in my fork, cleaned my chain, and adjusted the derailleur. Eve was all dressed up and no where to go. Come inside and everyone is just finishing eating dinner... thanks.
About 9:30 I couldn't take any more. I got dressed and Eve and I went out on the town. We went and visited Ridgeline. The ride over was eventful. Rode past PBR's and I got nice shot of him walking around in his boxers. I needed to bleach my eyes after that. Buy some blinds man. After getting to the trail I was in a really cool dream.
It was supper quiet and all I could hear was my tires on the dirt but just barely because it rained for a good hour later in the afternoon. Not a slippery corner to be had the whole outside loop. Lit up tunnels of scrub oak, open brown trails leading into the black, all punctuated by the pink lightning to the north. About 10:30 I came around a corner and was in the high beam of another late night rider. I think we were both zoning out and startled. Rode for about another 1/2 hour and called it quits. I ended up seeing an owl, a deer, a coyote, a toad, tons of ant trails, and a million rabbits.
On my way home I gave PBR a ride by Ameobaing. Flashed my light in the blindless house as I rode by. Woke up to a text "You pervert I saw that light shining in my house last night." Mission accomplished. Had a great ride, had some fun, slept like a baby. Got up before everyone else this morning, came down to the basement and haven't been out.
