Winter riding only. I got heatstroke there during the early spring. Unless you're used to massive heat and absolutely no shade, I would very much advise against it.

I ride there 2-3 times a week. I enjoy the variety of trails, however the warnings above are all true. It gets hot down here early and there is no shade out there. I am usually hitting the dirt by 6 am and done by 9 am.

Agree, Ride early, or after 6pm. Also, they make great headlights these days. I see a lot of cool critters at the lake at night, kit foxes, owls, weird little mice.

Wonderful place. Trails are tons of fun, but like everyone else says, best done when its a little cooler.

I ride red gate/ Nature center almost daily. I live a whole 15 minute pedal from the Nature Center.

We got some pretty heavy rain last week, nature center is all washed out- needs to be ridden by more people.

If anyone wants to ride- I am down anytime. I also do a ton of fishing, and strap my poles to my backpack and head up the trail.
