    Just another Soapstone ride (partial x-post)

    A very casual 21 mi dawn patrol ride Thur. morning.

    21 Pronghorns, 1 coyote, 2 deer, 1 Golden Eagle, 1 Vulture, 1 Burrowing Owl, and a few hundred assorted Towhees, Lark Buntings, Horned Larks, Meadow Larks, Prairie Dogs and Rabbits.

    Humans, horses on the trails or even another cars in the parking lot = 0

    Nice pics! Soapstone is definitely a nice place to just cruise around and smell the roses. I went there on a Thursday a few weeks back and saw two hikers near the end of my loop, otherwise had the place completely to myself.

    You're earlier post about this locale reminded that I needed to get up there again. Went up Saturday and only saw 4 other bikers total (6 pronghorns total). Got out of there just as some weather was rolling in. Lightning was a little too close for comfort at the end.
