J..u..s..t barely snuck one more in...

today before the snow starts and shuts down the high country

    Yesterday wasn't bad either

Picking our way through the narrow path.

Stellar views greeted us at the top.

Looking back, upslop slowly crawled its way into the foothills.

And upslop greeted us when we got back.

    Damn you

Never even saw the sun here today in Ft. Collins. Heck, it's snowing now here on the SE side of town.

I opted for the basement, rollers, and the 2007 World Mountain Bike Championships on Cycling.tv

    Us too

We rode Backbone and Blue Sky to FC and back. It didn't reach the upper 40's as forecast, I think it was in the mid thirties the whole ride. I think it may have been our last ride for a while.

No doubt the door slammed shut quick, at least for a few days.

I snuck a ride in this morning before work. Just stuff close to town, Pineridge, Maxwell, Michaud, Lory and back to town.

Hey Ed, me too. Had to hit the singletrack above 9K while the gittin's good.

    This one Sunday:

    Then this one today:

I don't recall being able to ride either of these in November before, so it's all icing on the cake. Soon there will be icing on the trail.

Not all that cold up here in Slidey yet and no snow as of near 8 PM, but the wind is rockin' out of the east which is a sure sign of icky weather to come.

Bring it on. As the old timers say, "we need the moisture."
