I missed it--who are you congratulating and why?

What are the plans for tomorrow night? Palmer again? The canyon? AFA?

I'm going to ride Wednesday, Thursday and maybe Friday too if anyone wants to join in. Those will be 5:30 starts though.

I'm going to guess it's one of KabaKlaus by Icegeek. If it is, rightfully so. I can think of a few images of his of Klaus that are magazine worthy. But yes, do scan it please.

Is the AFA rideable yet? I strangely like the sound of that option.

That'd be Kurt or Kristian for the photographer then, right?

Absolutely--sweet for both Jesse and Kurt! I got a pic in the first Rider's Eye and Jaenette matted and framed that issue for me--it turned out really sweet actually.

So while this is all flattering and everything, the credit really goes to Jesse for being the one with the eye for composition. He's taken many outstanding pictures as can be witnessed on his website/blog thingy. He, and many others on this board, continue to use photos to capture the biking and living experience in many ways that leave me feeling I am one step behind in photog skills. I am going to keep practicing though; and know that when I am finally old (in a 100 years or so) I can look back upon so many great memories. Of course, most of the memories will be of you guys because there are almost no pictures of me in my files. Oh well...

While I am at it, and definitely not to take any credit away from Jesse, the picture in the mag to me does not epitomize what I have grown accustomed to watching and filming out at Palmer during "roller" sessions during the last several years. So many others possess such tremendous skills that more accurately represent a leading edge in the progress of this "sport" than I. In a way I feel somewhat embarrassed only because I have seen what can be done and how talented the riders are who have done it. I am below their caliber and know it. They are the ones who should be published on page 100.

It seems to me that if Jesse can get a picture of me published doing a roller that basically anyone can do that we should be able to get some shots that are really dangerous published as well. I mean come on, the Godzilla roller gets nada?! We aught to be able to capture that sucker on film and get it published, right?

I think that is the longest kchri post I have ever read.

Kurt, enjoy the moment, man, regardless of who you consider to be better riders than you. There will always be better riders, period. The fact that you are a solid enough rider to make it into a magazine speaks wonders about your ability. Magazines don't publish shots in that suck. They publish shots that inspire and provoke people to ride further and harder. That's a badass compliment to your ability and style. No need to lessen that compliment, smile and enjoy it.

Same compliment applies to you too, Jesse. Nice work, dude. That is certainly a worthy picture, IMO.
