yea...it seems as though the ppl of mtbr don't discuss team sports too much, and it's been my experience that if you do talk about pro sports, then you're an idiot or you place too much emphasis on the winning and/or losing of said teams. With that said I just can't believe these guys, truly a remarkable run for the Rockies, they are the definition of team.
    GO ROCKIES!!!!

Incidentially, I already had plans to be in Denver Sat. night after Veloswap. This might make the town a bit more interesting..

Me too! I'll only trade my tickets for fixies though... They claim their servers will be able to handle the load.. I'm not so sure I believe them

I got burned by the Fox theaters cheapo server failing when the Killers decided to make a surprise appearance before their red rocks show....If I waited in line, I would have gotten tix and enjoyed the show...no wait, I would have resold them for a ton instead.

Go Rockies but GO RED SOX MORE. Screw those white towel waving midwesterners! Isn't waving a white flag a sign of surrender? Time for some Dirty Water, Jerry Remy and Manny being Manny.

He says the Web site received 8.5 million hits in the first 90 minutes the system was up and running.
And they thought that wouldn't happen?

I heard they sold 400 tix before it crashed. If they sell another 400 per day for the next 6 days there's going to be like 2,400 people that get to go to game 3. That's not bad.

They should have done a lottery like the Sox did.

and...Craigs list is turning into a funny message board with this whole thing. More entertaining than Apex shuttle threads.

See you all at noon tomorrow...same place, same server crash?

They rockies claim it was a server hack, lets see if the hack happens again tomorrow.

Seems the people trying to sell tickets are the hacks.

    tickets anyone?

Did anyone manage to get tickets today? Our whole floor tried for 2 hours and it would just keep refreshing.

It pisses me off that they handled it this way. What's wrong with camping out like they used to? Those are the true fans, the fans that will wait in line for days to get tickets. So you can camp out for Halo 3 and Harry Potter and I-phone, etc. But you can't camp out for World Series tickets?

Who's brillant idea was this anyway? Someone needs to pay; we need Chuck norris.

My brother-in-law in Cortez got tix. But nobody I know here in Boulder got any.

I saw on the news how some peeps got three sets of tix....it was like once you were in the system, you could use "go back" to get more tix.

Doesn't sound that random to me.

The best thing about Game 5?

...CHEAP PACKER TICKETS MONDAY NIGHT AT INVESCO!

Yes, it's a happy, happy, HAPPY day for a displaced Wisconsinite. The innoculation I received at birth (every Wisconsin kid gets one - they look just like a profile of Coach Lombardi) has begun to itch uncontrollably - maybe an up close viewing of huckin' Brett and the boys will make that itch go away.

    Go Rockies! Go Pack!

This is stuff you really don't need to admit on the web.

A coworker of mine met his wife at a D&D game in college.

Wow did we ever get side tracked, this started out about baseball and ended up where I called Skaredshtles a dork Bard! He also admitted he's a closet D&D fan! You were a Bard once weren't you?

Yeah, I watched some of that game, wholly crap was Becket insane. I felt bad for the Rockies after the first inning.

Yeah, but aren't you too young for the original version with dice? I mean D&D on the computer doesn't count!

I loved those 20 sided die. Mine were weighted (old day version of cheat codes).

Dude, I have almost every 2nd edition book there is, and about 10 full sets of dice. My friends and I got into it huge in middle school and early high school then I ended up with all the books.

We discovered beer and girls and forgot about D&D. I played it with some friends in college once in a while; D&D is funny while drinking beer!
