    If your Cranks Creak...

under torque, and you know it's not coming from the bottom mid/rear part of your bike and not the seat post/rails, handlebars, headset spacers, forks, etc., try resetting your rear wheel and adding some grease in the dropouts. I know this sounds simple but it took me several months to figure this out and only when I used a stethoscope and determined the creak was loudest when I put it to the chain and seatstay while I had my wife push on the crank. It was driving me effing crazy. Now I climb in peace.

If your cranks are creaking also check for loose shock pivot bolts.

    Meh...no. Aluminum/aluminum = creak. Aluminum/dirt/aluminum = Capt'n Crunch noises
