    Idaho Springs DH

What's the current status of the Idaho Springs DH course? Did a search and the last thread discussed a build back in November. Is this still moving forward?

    in the discovery phase

this exciting project is only possible thanks to the hard work & dedication of manmountain dense and his compadre up there (who's been at it for years)...

fwiw, we (COMBA) are currently in talks w/ them to see how we might facilitate this process, now that we have a proven methodology thanks to the successful "mini crew trail day" program spearheaded by our stewardship folks, as well as our political expertise honed in working w/ jefferson county.

i'm the assigned point man on the BoD to work w/ our clear creek neighbors on this initiative, and manmountain will likely take the lead up there, so feel free to contact either one of us if you'd like to get involved and see this happen.

keep in mind this won't be an overnight project-- we want to make sure it is done well and done right.

in short-- they've (seemingly) got the land and the permission, we've got the expertise and the tools; that said, we will need manpower to see this to fruition. more details later as plans develop.
.And following our will and wind . . .
. . .We'll ride the spiral to the end
and may just go where no one's been.
