    A bad ass friend of mine went DHing for a day this summer. This guy is a top XC/endurance racer and is not afraid of speed or technical stuff when the trail points down. I asked him how he liked it and he said "It was OK but you spend more time riding lifts than riding bikes and I'd rather ride bikes than lifts"

    Dhing just takes all the fun in mtn biking and makes it more fun. I didn't start until my late 30's and now I take a whistler trip every year. If don't see how going downhill all day is fun, then I would guess we wouldn't get along (and by the way, I love pedaling too)
