Trails are talc. Although the recent rains have helped some of the Golden trails, we need more.

It used to be pretty rare to get any days near 80 in Summit Co. This summer we've had a bunch of them well over.

Crosier yesterday afternoon (yes, that's a bad idea):

It's bad when you open up the windows and doors at 9pm and the breeze coming in is 90*.

Meh. Ninety degrees at 5:30 p.m. yesterday when I hit the trails in Castle Rock. I only rode an hour and I went through 56 oz. of water.

We've been getting it bad too up here in Salidistan. The absolute numbers aren't as high, but in town we've been above 90.

When you're up a little higher, it can be (or feel at least) even worse.

I rode from town up to the Silver Creek section of the Rainbow. Top out at about 9500. When it's 85+ and that sun is shining on you at that elevation, ouch.

I got home quite salty yesterday. Drank water for quite a while before I started peeing again.

At my house the digital thermometer said it didn't get below 85 until after 8 when the sun went down.
