    Heil - muddy

I went up to Heil this morning at 8:30am and thought it would be dry enough to ride. I was wrong. There was runoff all down the dirt road going in. The stream that crosses the road was about 20ft wide and 6 to 8in deep. I only rode in about 1 mile. The first muddy spot I came to many people decided to ride in the grass around. That made the trail almost 10ft wide there. Don't waste your time right now. I think it's going to take a while to dry.

Trails to Remain Closed Through Weekend

The Wapiti, Ponderosa Loop, Wild Turkey and Picture Rock South of the quarry will remain closed through the weekend. Water remains a problem, and crews are onsite working to stabilize the trails.

BCPOS will assess the situation again on Monday. In the meantime, please let the trails recover and ride somewhere else.
