Anyone have one I could borrow or know a shop that has the tool?

My HS started to shift poorly in cold weather - it desperately needed service - so I bought the overdrive disassembly tool. It should be in this week. Anybody who needs to service their HS, pm me. I'll have it for a week or two then I'll leave it with Steve at the SW Bikesource store.

You will need Planet Gear Retaining Rings, you cannot reuse these and the shop does not stock them. They can order them.

BTI has a good selection of replacement parts for the HS.

Any body have this tool in the Denver / Boulder area and would be willing to let me use it for a 6 pack of your choice. Or know of a bike shop that his this tool and has experience rebuilding the hammerschmidt? I would really prefer to do it myself as I have a hard time trusting others to work on my bike with the same care, love an attention I do.

The hammerschmidt has been working perfectly for the last year but after my trip to Moab last weekend it doesn't sound/feel as smooth. So I want to clean it all out, add new seals and Grease. I know I also need new gear retention rings.

My LBS just sends it into SRAM to get be serviced. Should cost about $60(that includes all the parts) plus shipping.
