    Hall Ranch temporarily closed

Hall Ranch is temporarily closed right now. There's a fire just SW of Hall on Coffintop Mountain. Hall Ranch is A) really close to Coffintop and B) the best emergency vehicle access to Coffintop.

The smell of smoke is super heavy in Lyons right now, wish us luck!

Good luck. Hopefully there will be more rain and less wind. I think we're expecting wind tomorrow, so hopefully they can get it contained in short order.

Concrete, just heard about the fire on Blue Mt. There's not too much news for either fire. They're saying Coffintop is not close to contained but is burning slowly. It quit raining though, so that will probably change pretty quick, unfortunately. Smelling smoke big time here. Might have to close the front door.

Ignaz, did you get any reverse 911 calls on it yet?

BTW, it was good to meet you last week and thanks for the trail info.

Turkey plant stink and those wonderful farm days. OBs would be a plus!

You appear to live on the wrong side of town. I get the OB grain smell sometimes when riding my bike to work. I never smell any turkeyfunk.

I get the Butterball smell some mornings, the LH smell at times, and when I was attending classes at FR I'd get that super fresh OB smell. Mmmmm.

How's it looking up there in Lyons guys? DC says 5% containment right now.

I had to go into Longmont this am. On the way back, I couldn't even see any smoke. I think it's burning to the SW- they evactuated the Conifer Hill area yesterday evening.

Hall is still closed, but Heil remains open.

Welcome to the foodiest fittest smartest nazi little town in the country. This is sad how uptight this town has become. You can't even park in front of your house without getting a ticket! I think Sarah Palin should make this her new home. Even she has more brain cells than Boulders so called Nazis. Ziek heil!

Sounds like they're getting that fire cleaned up but still using Hall as a base for operations. Latest says Hall may be open by Sunday:

I'd just assume the negative and incorrect stereotypes about Strongmont persist so it doesn't become another sprawly Fort Collins, or at least, that it doesn't become part of the Fort Collins or Denver metropolitan areas quite as quickly.

The Coffintop fire is 100% contained. Hall will reopen with the sun on Sunday 7/3. The bike shop will be closed though. I'm going riding
