    Green Mt - conspiracy theory?

So - I live right off Grn Mt - and i end up riding there for convenience especially during the midweek when work runs long hours. I've more recently noticed a lot of multi-colored glass bits especially closer to the trailhead areas on the trails - but what doesnt really add up is that there isnt any evidence of a complete or whole bottle break - just random pieces as if someone purposely sprinkled them -

not trying to start something - but just seems odd that on the climb west out of the Alameda trailhead - there were spots that had clear, green and brown glass bits/shards - in localized patterns as if put there purposely - and - those potentially most effected would be the bikers...

i would truly hate to think that this is the case - but with a fair number of biker/hiker/horse issues over the recent years - it does seem possible... either that or people are just simply stupid and thoughtless in taking glass bottle drinks up and not cleaning up after an "accidental" breakage...

Report what you have seen to Lakewood Parks and rec. specifically to Erik Nilsen- EriNil@Lakewood.org they work hard to keep trails for all user groups with many volunteers.

    Wouldn't hurt.

Anything is possible. All it takes is one person (a conspiracy takes at least two) with a grudge/agenda. That said, it's probably something more mundane like careless rednecks.

Well, try this: build a bike park and watch the neighbors vandalize it. We've had the local neighbors vandalize our park recently. More interestingly, we also have people stealing our signs. Whatever.

If I were to vandalize a trail-head, I'd bring the bottle intact and smash it. It seems like a huge hassle to crush a bunch of glass, collect it in a bag or container or some sort, transport it to the trail-head and then spread it around.
