    Green Mountain Conditions?

Some one had to try riding Green Mountain in the last few days. What's the word?

I can only imagine pretty sloppy.....I think until we have a week of 50 plus degrees we are SOL around Golden/Morrison.

I went last week after the warm weekend...the south side (Alameda) was okay- just a few muddy spots that are easy to navigate around without bushwacking. The Jeep road on top was muddier than I expected- especially with the exposure to sun/wind- until going onto the C470 side and the top 1/10 mile had at least 8" of snow still there. the rest of the way was mostly very soggy mud with tracks from other bikes (mine included) and hiker/dog combos that'll definitely take some re-work during the riding season.
In other words- don't expect to ride a full loop until MAYBE mid-late March
If you don't stop whining- I'll call the whaaaa-mbulance!

    Sweet!
Gone are the days we stopped to decide,
    Where we should go,
    We just ride...

Better get it in this afternoon:

Skies turn cloudy by 10:00 PM and snow will develop along the front range after midnight. Lows will be in the low to mid 20s.

I somehow missed the sarcasm this time. And it was obvious!!! I must need some time out in the sun. Well....maybe it will be better tomorrow since everything will be frozen back up.
