Good times at Greenland (24 Hours of Erock)

Yet another fun time at 24 Hours of Erock. I'm sure there must have been some other mtbr's out there. I'm pretty sure I saw Funrover out there rockin' the old school bike. I think he's even in this pano...

Our team had a great race, turning in 46 laps

The last of which came in at 6:27 (3 minutes left)

We built a little square outta campers to keep out of the wind (which was heinous at times)

The temps were great and there wasn't much sand. Conditions were almost favorable to cyclocross bikes

This year, my wife was super close to beating my best lap, turning in a 30:04

It was a fun family affair

Anyone else get out there and have a good time? I have some random pics from other teams that I might post if I get motivated...

Dang, I wish I had realized that was you talking to Nordby about the truck. I heard him talking to someone, but I must have been in race stress mode or I'd have noticed and said "hi!"

24 hour races can be a blast, if you approach them with the right mindset. Even though our team was gunning for the podium, we all managed to have a good time and even knock back a few adult recovery beverages throughout the race. :-) Looking forward to seeing a few of your pics!

Super jealous. I tried to ride on 3 different teams and all 3 flaked. Let's see the pics.

It's all good! We were there to have fun. Your team did very well! We turned in 31 laps. I think my best was just under 38 min. And yes that was me on the classic. That 1984 Raleigh did fantastic!

Went and spectated for a couple, hoped to see some people I knew.

It looked like a miserable experience to me, but I don't enjoy pedaling that long. It was clear some teams were racing, while some were hoping to finish

Dang funrover - we have only met a time or two at Solstice rides in the dark over here in Monument, and only in bike gear so just didn't put it together. Cool to shake your hand and thanks for the kind words on the Fordge.

Glad you folks were there and sounds like you had a good race too! Not the most exciting course, but an excuse to be on the bikes this close to home with friends and family is hard to argue with.

I will take the excuse, I am hooked. I loved that event. The Fordge is a great rig, I really dig it!

I also wanted to give a quick shout out to Scar. I saw many lights out that weekend. Many great/bright lights. All that said and done I am still extremely pleased with my choice with his Ameoba. What a fantastic light. One of my fastest laps was in the pure dark. I could see everything in the middle of night (literally, I finished that lap about 1:00 am.) Couldnt have done it with out your light bud!
