No ride for me today. Decided to give the cold I've been battling a day off from cardio to see if it would do the me the honor of getting the hell out of my body. Going to the gym for a lift in a few instead.

Regardless, I'll be riding tomorrow. Anyone hit White Ranch or Green Mtn. today? Still looking good?

Planning to hit GM on my way to DR and WM very early Sunday morning (expecting it to be frozen in the snowy spots on MW). I got in two mid-week night rides on GM this last week and the trails were great. We have had very minimal precipitation the whole week - should still be great most of Sunday. A winter storm warning is coming for late Sunday into Monday so it may be out of commission for those times it won't be frozen (which are becoming less!)...

Dakota Ridge, out and back. it was fun, but after Hall Ranch last week, Dakota seemed a lot slower, more tech, and not quite as fun. but then again, it was a ride and it was alot of fun!

Bobcat yesterday. Too fun to stop for photos.

Off day today - did taxes, played with son, and replaced a front hydro with a BB7.

Ride again tomorrow (and more taxes).

The only "not so swell" part was the downhill section of Morison Slide... Still snow on sections...

FYI....as of 7:30 AM on Sunday, there is snow covering everything that is not pavement up here in Fort Collins.

Total bummer, as I had 5 hours planned out at Bobcat, Blue Sky, and DBB.

    Arg!

Really? Here in Loveland things look fine. Cold, but fine. As far as I know there is still a breakfast club ride happening at Bobcat...... Come along! If you promise not to make fun of how slow we are we won't make fun of your team kit. O, who am I kidding.. we're still gonna give you a hard time.

I based my observation of snow from the SE corner for Fort Collins. I am just assuming if it snowed out here by I-25....it snowed up by the trails in the foothills. Just a guess though.

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeffkerkove/2336805701/" title="Sunday AM snow by Jeff Kerkove, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2408/2336805701_6ed10963d8.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Sunday AM snow" /></a>

If anyone has some other trail BETA I would rather ride dirt than the road today.

Did the same ride this morning and agree on the conditions. There was enough snow on the north side of the slide to 'shut it down' if unfrozen for me.

I went to Rabbit Mountain to try out clipless pedals for the first time, no pics of the trail but I could take a pic of my knee I made it through the whole trail and I decided to do another loop and well, I stopped and when I started again I was having trouble clipping in and as soon as I got clipped in I fell sideways but pain and rash build character

Ginny again. Perfect conditions, temps in the high 30s but felt warmer with intermittent sun. Beautiful. Just Beautiful.
Gonna be a while before things dry out with all the rain/snow mix so it was good to sneak a ride in this morning.

Being 20 minutes from Loveland is nice. Waking up at noon every weekday to ski is nice. Laughing at all the people who I see out my window on weekends stuck in traffic is nice.
    Life is nice.

Was able to ride out to Bobcat....do a loop on Ginny....then ride Blue Sky....Indian Summer....fill up bottles in Loveland.....then ride back to FC on DBB, Blue Sky.....and finally Coyote Ridge. Last 45 minutes was a bit chilly, as the skies where starting to open up with rain...then sleet....and finally a little snow.

Now I am staring at 3 inches of melting snow in the front yard
