    Ft Collins/Loveland Area SS gearing?

I am visiting my brother the first week of April in Ft Collins, I am shipping my MTB out there for the week. I was looking for suggestions for gearing. Thanks.

The average ratio around here, that I've found, is 32x20. I typically ride 32x21 because of knee issues. Some buddies have ridden as low as 34x17. Depends on your strength and joint integrity, but I'd say 32x20 is a safe bet no matter where you're coming from.

^ Agree with GW on gearing.
I typically run 32x21 to enjoy the climbs and overall ride during the warm
months then I run 32x22 in the winter

Again, 32x20 to 32x22 depending on your push/spin tolerance. This time of year, I sometimes move to a 22 because of the extra snow resistance. But this year my FW is shot, so I'm sticking with the 20...

I'm on 34x21 and can ride most of the areas with exception of the steep stuff in Horsetooth Mountain Park....but some of that you are walking no matter what the gear. 32x20 is a good all around gear though unless you are super strong you might want to gear down 32x19.
