    Fruita Fat Tire Fest

Damn, made plans to go to Fruita the weekend of the Festival... then found out I made plans to go to Fruita the weekend of the Festival. I've been about out there for it before, multiple times but not in (8*) years. Are the trails the same sh!t show I remember for that weekend? Probably gonna change my plans since I have no desire to see that many riders on trail. Thoughts?
Gone are the days we stopped to decide,
    Where we should go,
    We just ride...

Go ride at Rabbit Valley and you will hardly see anyone. 18 Road will be a mess, Lunch Loops always a mess on weekends especially during the festival, you should be able to get good turns in with out stopping on the correct trails out in Loma/Kokopelli if you stay on the western trails like Lions/Macks Ridge/Troy Built.....or go to Moab and enjoy the never ending fat tire fest crowds any given weekend.
I'm bored and at work or else I would be riding

I was out there during the fest a couple years ago. Not crowded enough to keep me away again.

The physics of the fest are:

The majority starts riding after 11 am.
The majority rides horse thief bench and Mary's loop. I could probably dig up a photo of the ants lining up on horsethief looking down from Moore Fun or some other trail.

Otherwise, hard to tell stuff is going on other than busy hotels and eats.

It's still fun though for the parties and music sometimes. But when I'm there, I ride early or the 'other stuff'

Just a reminder if you do alter your plans and head to Moab; April 25 - April 28th is the Annual Moab Car Show.
Accommodations/rooms are very hard to get, without paying the increased rates for special event weekends.
