    Fruita

    I keep seeing a notice that says I haven't posted in a while, so here's a (brief) Trip Report.

    Went to Fruita on 1/14 to do some MTB'ing as the trip to Silverton we planned was looking less appealing as time got closer and downright dangerous the week of.

    Mary's Loop->Horsethief->Mary's->Steve's Loop->Moore Fun.

    It was good, very good. Can't wait to go back.

    That is a burly bit of trail, saw 1 person clean it while there and a few OTB's by others attempting. Wasn't feeling it on my hardtail, hopefully next time I'll have a full squish to bring.

    Suspension is no compensation for skill. Give it a try on that hardtail. At the least, you'll clear it the second time.

    The drop-in to Horsethief gets ridden on rigid bikes.

    Seen it done on a hardtail, can be done easily, as long as they stay on the right line & are a very good tech rider. I do know a couple guys who could probably clean it on fully rigids as well (well, kinda rigid, Jeff Jones)
