Front range Global Fat bike day ride

Hi, I know it is a little late notice but I am hoping to get a group of riders out to West magnolia for a Global Fat bike ride on December 7th. Meeting place is the Nederland Highschool and we can discuss a time but around 10am would be a great start time! Let me know your thought and ideas!

Now lets get out and ride!!

With a little luck I'm in! My fattie is getting built right now. Will hopefully have it by the end of the week. Time sounds good to me, I get off work in littleton at 8am.

if this group ride goes ahead it would be nice if you brought some saws and helped clear the downed trees, since West Mag was clear cut and due in part to the rain in September there are new trees across the trails almost daily, Hobbit 1, 2,3, Re-root, high fructose mag etc. it's ridiculous. Lifting a fat bike over head-height trees sucks, sometimes there's just no way round and you should try to stay on the trails anyway. It's crazy windy tonight so there's going to be a ton down tomorrow, I usually move 3 or 4 every morning while walking/riding with my dog, I'm not exaggerating. The FS don't do anything but put up warning signs that you may get squashed. It's going to be cold and snowy all week so I won't be clearing any more, I'll be riding other places with fresh snow and no obstacles.

Yeah all true. I'm off Friday so I could try and clear up some trail but I would like to add there is another fat bike ride in south Denver Saturday, more of a group casual ride with no single track but may be fun for a holiday like this! Whatever works best for everyone. I would love single track but I also want a good group ride. Plus Longman if you live in nederland with a fat bike we should get together for a ride sometime soon! I live in downtown Ned and ride all the time! Just let me know!

There's a big, organized ride in the Springs at Venetucci Farms. Shops, rentals, swag (I think), several routes through the woods and out on the sandy bank of Fountain Creek.

I think snow will be everywhere so lets go ahead and join the Denver group. They're not to far and if we want more ridding afterwards golden has fun trails right near town! Here's the page.
