Front range fat bike ride pics

It's a rare occasion such as this, I take photos. Great day for fat biking. Snow could have bern better, ground was too warm for the dump no complaining. Fresh tracks at picture rock. Post em if you got em!

    Come up to Monument

Mount Herman got dumped on, took our trails out for another month. I would guess 12-16 with drifts over 2'.

As a matter of fact its still snowing, 8pm.

    Dam,
    Bikes are FUN

Craploads o' snow here at the Monument Preserve. Even with Fatties, I walked about 70% of my short "ride" tonight....

    Winter race tonight in leadville!

Winter race tonight in leadville! Don't need a fatbike for the conditions. I'm bringing the Oskar Blues Beer! some HGH part duh too!! Tennessee pass on the ski trails is funnest race.
Nice job on getting out there baker and jkaber. You guys definitely got more snow down there. Lyons may have gotten a foot, but ground was so warm it varied on trail from 6-10". base was a tad moist while loose powder still on top. Really thinking nates would have been the tire, as our front tires (larrys) would easily washout on off camber, rutted sections of trail. But we could ride 100%.
Now if QBP would just make some more nates that I have been waiting for since late december.

I saw a fat bike at bone dry Green Mtn last Sunday with tires so soft the rims were only an inch or so off the ground. Made me go

Super Bowl Sunday - Green Mountain

It was easier climbing the hiker packed East side than riding the flatter south side. Fun all around.

Since we've expanded scope to west of the divide, here's another one. Leadville Winter Race Series start at Tennessee Pass. Great night riding on packed powder/groomed xc ski trails. One of the descents had a couple of inces of loose stuff but still no fat bike required. In fact a few of the fat bikers mentioned conditions favored the normally aspirated fat tire bikes.
