Front Range Damage Report: Green Mtn etc...??

So, with Sunday's storm and today's batch of moisture...what's the likelihood of riding this weekend? Supposed to dry out tomorrow and Friday so I was hoping at least the fire road up Green Mountain would be doable. Thoughts?

I work in Gunbarrel and trails around the res yesterday were ok. Still some wet spots, but I would imagine they would be passable this weekend...but I think more snow fell south of Golden than up here.

Saturday was so friggin' amazing and now such a tease!

It would be a blessing to get back on the trails. Here is a bit of weather prediction:

    Don't count on it.

5-6 inches of snow on my Green Mountain driveway at 7:00 this morning. It was still coming down too. Green Mountain will be a clay pit for several days. Please give it time to recover.

I will start praying to the snow gods soon. I'm getting desperate enough to try these obviously reasonable measures.

6+ inches on my driveway as of about 10 minutes ago and I live 5 minutes from the Florida Trailhead. My guess from living there for the last 5 years is there is no way GM will be open by this weekend. Maybe the sunny South East side but I doubt it.

Cartman, looks like we are neighbors? Want to meet for a ride someday? I live really close to the H.S. and ride GM and surrounding whenever possible. Kids and work keep me to off hours and weekend mostly.

You bet, send me a PM some time. I'm near Jewell & Alameda. You'll recognize me as the clumsy roadie on the silver Turner.

No chance for GM, DR, MW and Zorro this W/E just as others have said. Y'all could ride it very late or very early and catch it frozen though...

I'm hoping that since the temp forecast is below 32f Friday night into Saturday morning, we might have some frozen snowy single track on GM... It looks like solid snowpacked trails from my vantage point on Alameda.

    Wadda you guys think?

Lemme know if I should go out drinking tomorrow night...

Haha, you seem quite OK with 7:00 am starts - are you still liking the Flux?

I bet it will be fine >8:00 pm and <8:00 am. I will likely hit it at 6:30ish Sunday morning (combo with DR and MW). I think the forecast is for 20 Saturday night and continuing cold Sunday morning (plus the hikers will have stomped down the trail for us on Saturday.

    Good luck (drinking not necessary!).
