    fraser valley camping

planning on heading up to Fraser Valley area for some camping and riding.
I have been on the trails out in the area in the past while staying at the YMCA camp, and passed by/thru several campgrounds. Can't recall a single name.

I have tried to google for campgrounds, but apparently I suck at the interweb.

Anyone have some info on the campgrounds? are they state, nat'l, FS or what?
    Thanks.

    St. Louis Creek campground

is on County Road 73 about 3 or 4 miles west of Fraser. It's a pay campground and is first come, first serve. Several campsites are right along the creek.

St. Louis Creek Campground, and Byers Peak Campground are the only 2 I can name off the top of my head. I spent half my summer at St. Louis Creek camp, wasn't bad if you don't mind the gentle hum Buddy's generator off in the distance.

There are at least two campgrounds at the bottom of Berthoud pass too, can't recall the names.

There's some great primitive camping spots along the creek right before the official campgrounds as well, just after the last switchback at the bottom of the pass look for a gravel rd to the right.
