Fort Collins full moon ride Tuesday 1/10 - no lights

I'm reaching back to my college days when we rode every full moon for nearly 2 years straight. This is a "no lights" ride. We will be running strictly by moonlight. Rolling from the Maxwell parking lot just south of Hughes Stadium at 7:30pm. Social pace. Come on out, but leave the light at home.

I'm hoping to make this a monthly event, so if you don't make this one, try next month.

I'm in. The FC Open Space web page still has Pineridge closed as of today.

Edit: I'm bringing my light just in case the clouds role in early.

Tuesday Forecast: Partly cloudy in the evening then becoming mostly cloudy. A 20 percent chance of snow. Lows around 19. North winds 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Gusts up to 25 mph.

Yes, I'll bring a light in case the clouds show up early, too. I rode by Pineridge today and it is still closed and looks pretty sloppy, so we'll just do Maxwell and Shoreline.

I've finally kicked the stomach bug that kept me off the bike all weekend, so I'm definitely in. I miss the no-lights winter night rides... looking forward to this one.

I'm thinking a defiant maybe. I have been lazy and wont have good legs or lungs. Social pace huh. I'm thinking so.

The Maxwell climb is dry, but there may still be some soft sections behind the stadium.
If you're bringing a light, I'm bringing sunglasses.

The climb up behind the Stadium, Shoreline, Foothills Trail, and the Ridge are good to go! Rode them today (Jan 10)

Great ride tonight! 12 riders did about 9 miles of single track with no lights. The moon was just bright enough to keep us from riding totally blind. Thanks for coming out and we'll see you next month.
