Love it! Thanks, Joey. Put a BIG smile on my face...just what I need on another snowy April morning.

Great Video, great job on the filming/editing. It's nice to see a well made video, that is more than just GoPro POV footage.

nice video and looks cool. But is it legal to ride a MTB on a hiking trail like that?

I've definitely seen other ride reports for Mt. Elbert, and I don't believe Mt. Elbert is in a designated wilderness area.

I just checked the FS website and they say "...South Mt. Elbert Trail is...within the Mt. Elbert Wilderness. As such, special regulations apply, including: Bicycles are prohibited..."

So...did you guys ride South or North trail? Online topo maps were not helpful in answering the question wilderness boundaries and North Mt Elbert trail.

Bummer 'cause i was all ready to hit this some weekday mid-summer

I seriously doubt Schusler would have posted up a video of he and his buddies poaching wilderness.

Interesting. The NFS website says there is a "Mt. Elbert Wilderness Area." Unless there is a new wilderness designation encompassing the S Elbert trail, as far as I know, there is no "Mt. Elbert wilderness." The 14ers.com guys will know the answer to this - I'll ask over there, but I'm pretty sure the Freddie's are full of caca.

Edit: So far, one of the more knowledgeable 14ers folks thought that this is either a "brand new wilderness area that has not been announced" or "the NFS is incompetent." I suspect the latter, but let's see what else turns up. I couldn't find it on the maps, on google, or in Fielder.
