    Downhillin' at Keystone- with Pics

Unfortunately not the hardcore pics you were probably hoping for.... my friend (from SC) and I aren't exactly the downhill types. However, riding on my 4" travel 29'er and my friend being a bike newbie, we had fun tearing up the blues and greens and the occasional black. Here are some shots from Friday... I hope to get back up there later this summer with my real camera and take pictures of some photogenic riders.

Nice! It's nice to see pictures of the blues and greens--Keystone isn't just a DH mountain and I think those trails are a hoot!

Me and my friends went over the Keystone yesterday for our first time. I love all that kind stuff, but have never really done true downhilling before. We ended up riding a lot of the double blacks after a few green and blue warm ups...but we LOVED "money"....so smooth...except when I smashed my face into the ground (full face helmets are amazing)

That huge left turn berm on TNT is just plain amazing (you guys definitely hit it from where your pictures were taken) ...you can bomb that thing at amazing speeds. We couldn't find another one like in the park.

I like doubling the last part of that feature. I've also gone straight (where the guy is looking to go) for just a fun huck.

    Nice!

Bridges scare the crap out of me. I work in river run and take the aquaduct trail home sometimes. Those little bridges still scare me. I am technically able to handle them, but the drop over the side scares me.

I have not been on any of the Keystone downhill course in 3 years. I need to work on my fear of wooden bridges and have money. There's some free downhill in Breck I participated in, but the bridges are half the size that I rode over.
