    Done Deal

My company is relocating me... to the Denver area... more specifically, Lakewood/Golden.
I just put a deposit on a condo minutes from Green Mountain.

I'm excited about the whole MTB scene, but a little freaked out about everything else (lived on LI, NY for 46 years).

I ride a Yeti, so I am bringing her back home...

Who/What are the MTB clubs orgs in the area? I've been a part of the LI, NY MTB scene (okay, I just do the freakin' newsletter) and really like to be part of the community.

Truth is... I just wanna ride my bike in the woods...

HOLY CRAP! Do you guys have woods?

    Smile welcome

we've got woods, but not on green mountain.

considering your new locale, i'd suggest you look into joining the colorado mountain bike association (see my sig). there are, of course, other orgs, but we focus on the trails specifically in your vicinity. (and we could probably use someone w/ newsletter skillz).

As one who lives 1 milr from Green Mountain- welcome to the area! Either of the above mentioned groups can get you going...there's also big groups in boulder as well. Just give a shout out when you get here - and you'll have plenty to choose from

Good to have another Least Coaster here! 42 years in NJ.

Which org were you with back east? We may know some mutual folk. Anyway, check out Team Evergreen at www.teamevergreen.org. I am currently rebuilding that Website, so lots of good things to come. We also need a Newsletter person, since ours has just resigned. We meet on the first Tuesday night of each month in the Taj Mahal (JeffCo Building). Great people, great group rides, and a big Octoberfest next week.

You're already in the club. Just get out here.

You're in the mtb club, and the silliness of MTBR members. Move out, ride, enjoy.

    Woods?

    and strange looking woods.

We even have some rocks in those woods.

Eventually, if you keep riding you will get up high and leave the woods...

At that point, you might not want to ever return to the woods again.

    Welcome to Colorado.

You'll love the trails nearby. Great trails near Golden. Just an embarassment of riches really.

I work near Golden. Last May I got a job offer for more money on the otherside of town. I turned it down because I knew I couldn't ride half as much after work and not at all over lunch. No regrets.
