    Denver riding guide

Im a 28 y.o. rider in San Diego and I'm going to be in Denver for 2 weeks for work in June. I am looking to get some riding in during my free weekend June 19 and 20. Any suggestions on where to rent a legit mountain bike and where to ride would be appreciated. Also, if anyone has room in their riding group I'm all in. I have been riding mostly cross country with some race experience since 1994 on the east coast and some freeriding experience.

Hey play nice, fvcker. I sent him over here from Ridemonkey thinking he'd have a better shot at finding some PEOPLE to ride with...

Of course, you don't ride, so what do you care?

Same name. He posted in the Colorado forum (hardly any traffic) so I figgered he'd get better advice over here. Maybe I was wrong, forgot how you chaps like to take the piss!

nteague1: stay plugged in on this board, there's always guys riding and posting, plenty of legit bike shops in the area you can get a good bike at. I still recco Green Mountain Sports in Lakewood, Golden Bike Shop is great as well. Plenty of trails in the foothills to be had, hit up http://www.trailcentral.com/ for an idea of how much good riding we have here.

Thanks for trying to help hojiman and Trucker. It is funny how people feel free to say things on forums that I know that wouldn't even consider saying to somebody's face on the trail.

Rontele, I am going to be in the Lakewood area and I will have a car.

I'd totally say that to you on the trail... except you'd be on the trail already... which means you wouldn't need to know...

Although if you had an iPhone in your hands I might still say it.

If you're going to be in Lakewood, drive the extra couple of minutes to Golden and check out the rental fleet at Golden Bike Shop. You really will not miss the difference in distance as Green Mountain is a bit out of the "normal" Lakewooder's way. Pull up both on Google Maps in accordance to where you will be.

Stupid soccer. If it isn't the games it's the injury sustained after the games.

WHAT? Signs of SS aging? If you didn't post it, I'd never believe it!
