In Denver on business - Bike to borrow?

    Hi all,

I have to be in the Denver area this week for work, flying out this afternoon. I'm looking for an XL MTB to borrow if there's anyone willing to help out! I'm a pro rider with the Santa Cruz / Fox race team, looking to have some fun and keep up with my training as well. I figured I'd ask my fellow mtbr'er's. Or if there are any local shops you'd recommend that I check with for a good rental or demo. Also if there are any good weeknight rides I can join or trails that I should hit up please let me know!

I'm staying in the Denver Tech Center area just west of Cherry Creek from this evening to Friday morning.

    Thanks!!!
Thank you Lord for strength, endurance, and salvation.

I guess I should have asked this first... are the MTB trails rideable? Or should I be looking to acquire a road bike?

We've had plenty of snow the last few weeks but then it warmed up and it's melted off at lower elevations, so Golden area, and trails south of you, etc. trails will be fine. The T.I.T.S. crew typically has weekly rides - I forget if the T stands for Tuesday or Thursday. They had a ride posted last week I think, I haven't seen one posted for this week yet. Good maps can be had at bike shops.

T is for Thursday. It's going to be Green Mountain I think this week. PBR or Hjirsh will post I'm sure. Golden Bikes has a nice demo/rental line you might want to check out. If you go late enough in the day and promise them a beer they might even take you up Chimney Gulch / Apex.

Ditto Golden bike shop. They had a pretty good selection of XLs to rent last year.

If that snow sticks out until Thursday evening, I'm definitely in for the TITS ride. I would definitely be in for one more snow ride.

Yeah considering the weather I ended up just grabbing a road bike from Pedal bike shop in Littleton. If the storm comes in light though I might try to get at least one dirt ride in though.

Joined in with the Meridian crit road ride last night and then went over and checked out the new Cherry Creek MTB Park. That place is a nice gem! A lot of sweet features packed into a small place! Those switchbacks and water bars were fun on the road bike :-)

Wish I had a fatbike in this snow!

Hmmm I didn't even know there was a Cherry Creek MTB park. It takes an out of towner to tell me these things!
